Editorial policy.
CleanEnergyCalc exists to give homeowners a neutral, math-first second opinion before a five-figure clean energy decision. These are the standards we hold our content to.
We distinguish public data, manufacturer specifications, and modeling assumptions. Defaults such as future price growth and battery wear are scenarios, not measured facts. Readers should be able to reproduce examples and follow links to the source supporting a claim.
Our stored rate tables do not update automatically with each EIA release. The data period and source review date are separate; a review date does not make an older table current. Check the methodology page and your utility's current tariff before using a default.
Our calculators are not sponsored by installers or manufacturers, and affiliate relationships never influence calculator outputs, rankings, or the underlying data. We do not publish paid placements disguised as editorial content.

Corrections
We review every correction request and aim to respond within 48 hours. If you spot a data error, an outdated rate, or an incentive that has changed, email contact@cleanenergycalc.com or use our contact page. Material corrections are reflected in the page's “last reviewed” date.
